We connected with our newest sponsor, Waffle House, during the winter of 2016. We are honored to be the recipient of their support and look forward to supporting  them whenever we eat in one of their yummy restaurants. Please join us in “waffle and more” dining.

The hay is in the barn and the sweet feed is in the bowl! Many thanks to Los Alamos National Bank, First Mortgage Company, PNM and Christus St. Vincent Medical Center for your generous donations in 2015 for the feed and care for our six therapy horses.

Listening Horse Therapeutic Riding and its PATH Intl. Equine Services for Heroes program would not exist without the support of our volunteers and sponsors. We have several options for getting involved. Please call or e-mail if you’d like to contribute your time and energy for a fun and rewarding experience! If you’re an experienced rider and would like to learn to become an instructor with our program, we can use your skills! You will get to know our horses and work with one of out instructors to learn the techniques specific to Listening Horse. No one knows everything there is to know about horses or about riding, so we all share knowledge and learn from each other.

Some of our riders need “Sidewalkers” to assist them in grooming, mounting and riding. Sidewalkers need not have experience with horses. We’ll teach you the skills you need to work with riders who have specific challenges.

We always need help with the administrative end of things, as well as with special events, publications, and fundraising.

Program graduate and Army veteran, James Gutierrez, (in plaid shirt) now volunteers with PATH Intl. Equine Services for Heroes, introducing new riders to the program and helping with fundraising events.
